Our Try It On At Home service lets you experience your favourite styles in the comfort of your own space.

1. Place Your Order
Choose the gown you’d like to try and checkout. After you order, we’ll confirm shipping and let you know when your sample is on the way.

2. Try It On
You’ll have 48 hours to try the gown at home. Take your time, see how it feels, and let the magic sink in. Got questions? Reach out or book a video call.

3. Easy Return
Repack the gown in the prepaid bag and book a collection or drop it at your local courier depot – just as you received it.

Try It On At Home FAQs

How does Try It On At Home work?

Choose your favourite styles online and we’ll courier them directly to your door. You’ll have 48 hours to try them on at home before returning them using the prepaid return bag provided.

My size isn't available. Can I still try it on?

Absolutely.

If your exact size isn’t available, we’ll send clips so you can adjust the gown and visualise the fit, just like we do during an in-studio appointment.

Is it $65 per sample?

For New Zealand brides, the Try It On At Home fee is $65 per gown.

For Australian brides, the fee is $120 per gown.

This covers packing, shipping, returns, steaming, and the opportunity to try the gown in the comfort of your own home.

Can I book a gown for a specific date?

Yes. Usually.

Simply add your preferred date to the notes section when booking and we’ll do our best to have your gown arrive in time. We recommend booking early if you’re planning a try-on with friends or family.

How long do I get to keep the gown?

You’ll have 48 hours from delivery to try on your gown at home. If this falls on the weekend or public holiday. Arrange the return for the next business day.

What if I need help choosing a size?

We’re here to help.

If you’re unsure which size to order, simply send us your measurements and we’ll recommend the best option before your try-on is shipped.

Can I speak with someone during my try-on?

Yes.

You can book a virtual appointment and one of our team will walk you through measurements, styling options, and answer any questions you have.

We recommend having someone there to help you out with clipping & measurements during your virtual appointment if possible.

What happens if I love the gown?

The exciting part!

We’ll guide you through placing your order, confirm your measurements, and help you choose the best sizing option for your gown.

How do returns work?

Easy.

Once you’ve finished your try-on, simply place the gown back in the prepaid return bag and either arrange a courier collection or drop it at your local depot.

We can delivery to a rural address however the package will need to be returned to your local NZ post shop.

Do you ship throughout New Zealand and Australia?

Yes.

We offer Try It On At Home throughout both New Zealand and Australia, making it easy to experience Gown + Altar from wherever you are.
