Wedding dress alterations can be complex, no dress is the same. We will likely need to see your dress in person to quote any alterations but feel free to email us photos of your dress for ball park pricing.

The type of fabric and the way the dress is constructed will gauge the timing therefore cost of alterations. As a guide a plain fabric hem can range from $85-$300. Taking in would usually range between $180-$450. If your dress needs taking in more than 1 size or has beading it is likely to be $550+. So if you are thinking of buying a standard size dress make sure you factor an alterations cost into your wedding budget.

Please allow a minimum of two weeks for a simple alteration. Resizing and other extensive alterations will require 4-6 weeks. Please allow more time if your wedding date is between November and March as these months are extremely busy.

2. 1st Fitting : Bring your dress and shoes in to our studio. We will fit the dress on you to determine what alterations are required.

3. A quote and time estimate will be provided following your appointment - if not on the same day. A 50% deposit is required if you decide to go ahead with the alterations.

4. Second fitting : If required we will fit the dress on you once the alterations have been made before closing up the dress and making any final alterations.

5. Collection : A final fitting to check the completed alterations and to take your beautiful dress home!

Bring with you your wedding shoes and any underwear you intend to wear with your dresss. It is best to avoid wearing make-up as this can transfer easily on the dress and many bridal fabrics are difficult to spot clean. We have make-up wipes in our studio if you need to remove make-up before your fitting.
